How to: create a KRC-Diagnostic package

The KRCDiag is a set of files and logging information about the actual state of the robot. It can 
be used to analyze the state and circumstances in case of a failure.

It is important to create a KRCDiag log file as soon as possible after an event!

Please note that there might be small discrepancies with this guide, depending on your KUKA software version/KUKA control cabinet version/KUKA smart pad version.

 

  1. Preperation
    1. Insert a standard USB Stick into the KUKA Smart-Pad
    2. Change User to “Expert"
    3. Now, the KUKA file system is visible with the mounted USB-Stick:
  2. Create a KRCDiag file
    1. Switch to T1 and cancel the active program
    2. Go to Main menu
    3. Go to “Diagnostics” and press “KrcDiag"
    4. Then, the following message will appear:
    5. After some minutes, the message change with the information where the created file can be found:

      Hint: Remember the name of the file!
    6. Go to “C:\KUKA\KRCDiag\
    7. Select the Diagnostic file
    8. Press “Edit” and “Copy”
    9. Select your USB-Stick
    10. Press „Paste“ in the Edit menu
    11. Now, the KRCDiag file is copied to the USB-Stick.
    12. Pull out the USB-Stick and send the File to BEC.
